Musical fun for the under 5's in and around Oxford, UK

Song boxes

Song boxes

The song-boxes are available during coffee time for the children to play with. I find it fascinating to see how they are used by the children. Each is contained in a shoebox with the sides cut down so that they can be opened up and is designed to provide further play and exploration of the songs. Many of the song-boxes have places to hide things, and surprises such as squeakers for added fun!

Some other things we got up to:

Harwell Feast 2013

May Bank Holiday 2013, we entered our 'Walking in the Jungle' themed float in the Harwell Feast. So lots of wild animals, and African drums. We also managed to display some of the results of our drawing competition on the side of the float. No prizes this year, but a glorious day and lots of fun for everyone.

Harwell Feast 2012

Each year the Harwell Feast begins with a parade down the High Street to the recreation ground. In 2012, Busy Bees entered a float into the parade and competition Our theme was, unsurprisingly, \'busy bees\'. It was a wonderfully sunny day and everyone had lots of fun. To top it all, the Busy Bees float won second prize!
